today i took down my art from the auburn city hall exhibition.
we made a day of it walked about downtown Auburn and then travelled a short distance through beautiful farm land to flaming geyser state park.
i had planned to go here before- it sounds so exciting FLAMING GEYSER alas i read read too many hiking reviews to say that the geyser wasn't all that.
so we went with expectation low and were impressed with the ride and the horses and the scottish highland cattle?
some red wing black birds , canada geese , swallows diving in and around us.
fish imprinting basins so fuel the local fishermen.
there were a few other people but not as many as could be in the summer when the parking lots were full- and it could possibly be a layer of hell for anyone getting away from the throng.
some of the parking lots are presently submerged in water- some of the picnic benches and shelters as well.
makes me think how much i appreciate these green spaces were land becomes water but there is not so much definition , its more a step too far and suddenly you are merging with the both wet dirt and water and being pulled in-
sucked in.
i usually make that step too far - or at least have in the past few weeks.
maybe getting in touch with my inner fish-
i am quite sure sometimes that i must be at least 25 percent fish for how much i love water.
