On Diablo lake, life’s better with mountains.

When I arrived at the north cascades institute it was after about 45 mins of being lost about two hours away. It had been losing the gps signal way before expecting to and having to drive back to get a rough phone call through saying to contact my north cascades contact, warn him I was a bit skew.
It all turned out all right in the end five and a half hours after I began. To be greeted by these lovely mountains and their reflections. loving the reflective shapes of things here on the water.

What you say a weeks art residency in the mountains ??????!!!

This is the view of Diablo lake from the institute’s shoreline.
So just over a week ago I returned from a life affirming, art affirming trip into the mountains, renewed spirit made a lot of art had inspiring thoughts for future art and laughed and danced on my own sometimes at the top of waterfalls sometimes in the darkness of my little two bedroom cabin which functioned as the perfect live work space, ever. I needed this. Hard to leave it behind once registersing to it’s tone since becoming one of it’s own. So peaceful, so majestic, so what I needed right here, right now.

on the river with my family in Monroe

as we look for a home  more in the wild, as close to as possible without acquiring another car and a horrible commute for those of us needing to get into Seattle.
We were on the river in Monroe- certainly this location required a commute. Alas another spot chopped off the mapp but at least we got some adventure!
