mt rainer

it rained most of our stay in mt rainer. we barely saw the mountain while we were on it, at paradise it revealed itself slightly.
(as show in top photo.)
it was amazing there or not there and reaching paradise left so much above not yet explored.
deer came and ate outside our house most mornings and evenings. we sat in a hot tub with disco light features in the pouring rain, driving rain.
my heart leaped driving through the twists and turns from the grove of the patriarchs west to paradise, never had i felt so afraid of the drive as well as so automatically in love with each vista. it was like a coming home to something one of those feelings where a shiver of excitement gives you goose bumps and leaves you like some sort of wild nature junky seeking the next fix each new view a thirsting for more rather then a quenching or satiating of any present thirst ...just more more more more more...
or is that just me? dramatically needing view upon view upon view.
we intend to go up it as a family when talula is old enough and i think that's a marvelous plan.
