Robe canyon

Anonymous rock balancer, seems like a fav pastime for hikers on this part of the Stillagumish.




I generaly dont get so hung up on types of photos, but cant get away from shooting up a tree. I think in part its because I can lean on the tree and therefore make the HDR shot a little more stable (I dont use a tripod). and of course there is something about the moss covered trees of Washington state. Looking up into the canopy from below is OK, looking up into luminous creepy ancient branches is better, creates an atmosphere, its very quiet in this place, apart form the continuous questions from Talula, who takes the hairy branches in her stride, more interested in getting into the river, even though its freezing cold, and semi raging.
