10/18/2012 Morning Moon

sunset over olympics from balcony 9/25/2012

a collection of colours for the evening from the balcony looking towards olympic mountains.
soft and cuddly.

Hamlin walking with dinosaurs

while having an evening walk we came across this little fellow- yes he does resemble a tyrannosaurus but he was only of four inches high and could bite the dogs knees if he wasn't so frightened by our shadows.
kudos for having the idea to stun him into place with the flash talula , nice work.

every monday morning comes and so do the pigeons!

well this looks to me like franz and ethyl although ethyls head feathers appear battered.
they behave like franz and ethyl.
they have come twice now i was so excited i cried of course.
maybe they knew i needed them this week-
art reception week, they are for me a connection i cherish  i am happy to give them food in exchange for their presence.
like offering friends dinner - it's nice to see them after such a long span, i had been worried.
these  photos are a bit pervy  but they were shy and i had to keep the curtains still not to cause fluttering and dodging heads.
 less shy by second visit.

well thats what the osprey thinks of digital photography...

Dear Osprey,
Greetings and I hope this finds you well. I am sorry if I offended you with my digital photography. I do not mean to offend and yes i know if i had used black and white film you would have looked classic and i am sorry but digital was all i had that day.
excuses excuses.
We were going fine, You were happily cocking your head from one side to another opening your beak and well then you shat and it flew way the hell out there.
I was half unsure as to what was happening ,spontaneous combustion?
what a relief just a projectile poop.
well i got it just by fact i was being too obsessively voyeuristic.
So i am so sorry if i have offended you and if i have made it worse by posting this on the internet  well i am sorry but i do have the mind of a five year old at times and animals pooping does tickle me just a bit.
Sincerely,
Tx

rough tree shapes for formulating tree symbiology

i am trying to create my own language through collage - one not limited to my understand but perhaps every ones, cave man like ya dig?
so anyways i create shapes- childlike generalizations of objects ( my daughter always understands where i am going)  that i then cut out individually to an obsessively monotonous extent for your average human being.
For me i love this freehand individual cutting is like a meditation and yes there are faster ways to get there but for the process for me i must travel the long way to find my journey. anyways i am  just studying tree shapes  here less about the image and more my finding  some different essences of trees to translate and communicate.

green grass of ellensburg

lush lawn being sprinkler-ed in the evening sun.
Ellensburg lawn watered contently while fires scatter through Eastern Wa.
Weird bounty in the desert.
like the place my dad lived in phoenix - a gated community with a nature preserve across the road (featuring lizards, road runners and cacti) yet in the complex where he lived (with loads of other out of towners working the corporate junket) was all pools and ponds and lush grass and water running through places it shouldn't be-
i would think that creating lush oasis in desert lands would be what my art teacher used to refer to me when he saw me painting with my hands- half ass backward.
well i will admit it will society? is it an intricate part of our make up to be half ass backward?
