When we arrived in the West Glacier area it was 81 degrees F when we left it was 20 degrees F (in this case the F really means something different.)
This is lake McDonald the largest lake west of the Mississippi, ten miles long, I believe.
This is about the area of Avalanche camp ground and trails where the road ended once the snow kicked in on the week of our visit.
